VATRA DORNEI

This spa is located in the Northern zone of Romania, in the Eastern side of the Dorne intra-mountain depression, being surrounded by mountain massifs, that reach up to 2,100 m (see the Calimani mountains).

Sport fields, mechanical and electronic games, billiard, club, ski tracks, with teleski and telecabs (up to the altitude of 1,500 m), sled track. The resort is also well known and appreciated as a winter ski place. Trips are organized, for visiting the famous painted monasteries in Northern Moldavia, as well as other architecture, folk art objects (Museum of Wooden Objects and Museum of Wooden Spoons, at Campulung), as well as the Hunting and Natural Science Museum, a.s.o. Other trips: to the ceramic center of Marginea, where the most famous black ceramic is to be found; to the historic medieval art center of Suceava; to the Ethnographic Museum in Radauti, as well as to Zugreni, Mestecanis - on the Bistrita river valley, a.s.o.
